Tarang Utsav

takshashila nrityakala mandir, under the visionary leadership of Smt. Kashmira Trivedi, has been a prominent organizer of cultural festivals that celebrate the rich tapestry of Indian art and heritage. These festivals not only serve as platforms for honoring and promoting classical art forms but also foster a sense of community.

One of our hallmark festivals is “Tarang Utsav,” a unique celebration of classical performing arts. This event provides emerging artists with a valuable platform to showcase their talent and connect with a wider audience. During “Tarang Utsav,” young and promising dancers are honored with the esteemed title of “Tarang Padama,” while talented musicians are recognized as “Tarang Sur-Tala Mani.

As time has progressed, our institute expanded “Tarang Utsav” to encompass a dedicated dance festival, beginning in 2017 with “Tarang Ratna.” This festival primarily focuses on experienced Gurus, teachers, and senior performers, thereby celebrating the immense contributions and artistry of those who have dedicated themselves to the world of classical art.

Through these festivals, we aim to not only preserve and celebrate our cultural heritage but also provide a platform for the next generation of artists to shine and continue the legacy of classical art in India.

Tarang Ratna

As the years passed, the institute began Tarang Utsav as a dedicated dance festival, primarily focused on experienced Gurus, teachers, and senior performers, starting in 2017. The central vision of Kashmira Trivedi behind this festival is to provide a platform to encourage and promote exceptionally talented and knowledgeable senior artists in their respective fields.

This festival has attracted numerous renowned artists from various art forms and different regions across India, who come together to perform and celebrate their rich cultural heritage.

Distinguished senior artists and Gurus are bestowed with the esteemed title ‘Tarang Ratna.’ This title symbolizes their brilliance, akin to the radiance of diamonds, earned through their vast knowledge, extensive experience, and unwavering commitment to their craft and practice. Through Tarang Utsav, Kashmira Trivedi has created a valuable space to honor and showcase the immense contributions of these esteemed senior artists, further enriching the cultural tapestry of India.
