Rangu Kirtanche Rangi, Sadhu Nav-vidha Bhakti

Rangu Kirtanche Rangi Sadhu – Nav-vidha Bhakti is a devotional Bharatanatyam production inspired by the rich tradition of Kirtan, Sant Parampara, and Bhakti in Maharashtra.

The production explores Nav-vidha Bhakti — the nine forms of devotion: Shravanam, Kirtanam, Smaranam, Pada Sevanam, Archanam, Vandanam, Dasyam, Sakhyam, and Atma Nivedanam. Each form represents a distinct way of experiencing and expressing a relationship with the Divine.

Through the expressive language of Bharatanatyam, devotional poetry, music, and abhinaya, the production takes the audience through a journey of devotion — beginning with listening and singing the glory of the Divine and gradually progressing towards service, friendship, love, and ultimately complete self-surrender.

Drawing from the spiritual richness of the Maharashtrian Sant tradition, the presentation brings together the simplicity and emotional depth of devotional expression with the discipline and aesthetics of classical dance. The production celebrates the idea that Bhakti can be experienced in many forms, yet all paths ultimately lead towards the same state of surrender and spiritual fulfilment.
